Rugged individualism has became the rarest quality in the world. They fear a man who can think, thus since school they deliberately beat it out of him, killing all his dreams, and aspirations. Remember who you are. It’s the path to all happiness.

When I work with 18 yo liberal arts interns, they make it a point to bring up how "rugged individualism" is an outdated, oppressive concept. It irks them. To them, individuals overcoming anything is wrong - they're taught that the big bad systems holds down all non white males.
