The formation of citizen volunteers and then paramilitary groups is a forgone conclusion in the UK.

Yea, and that was all before they took your guns. I love the optimism and sentiment, but I think it’s false hope. UK’s fate is sealed, along with a ananda, Australia, New Zealand. This is what happens when free citizens allow their governments to strip them of their arms.

Wrong, nobody had guns in Northern Ireland until the conflict begon, events create demand, then supply comes in. Legally or otherwise.

I think we’re failing to grasp just how much things have changed since then and how much the noose has tightened. You live under a totalitarian police state, most people just haven’t acknowledged that yet. Technology has made surveillance and control infinitely easier for them

"You live under a totalitarian police state" No, I don't, I drove all the way to London and back never seen one place car, that world only exists online, the cops here are very laid back and also unarmed.

If I really lived under that system, would I be able to voice my discontent at it almost daily to 16K people on Twitter?

The illusion of freedom is a necessary and useful tool of the state. I live in Texas, which i think is one of the freest places still left, although I’m sure our founding fathers would still consider me to be living under a tyrannical government(mostly due to federal overreach

Yes Texas is prided on freedom and Liberty etc but you were locked down like everybody else when the chips were down. The political class in Texas are just as corrupt as Europe or the UK. You have guns yes, but they are just bits of metal until fired lol

Agreed. Although We did end lockdowns early(the first state along with Florida to lift all Covid restrictions). Don’t think we’ll ever go back to lock downs here. Citizens have spoken. Governor has banned vaccine passports & prevented mayors from implementing mask mandates

Yes. The current governor has. But what about the next guy? And the next pandemic? They done it once and they will do again. Don’t let your guard down.
