I was not born or raised based. I had to unlearn so much. I don't resent my parents for this. They simply never knew any better. We can't be too hard on the boomers. They never has ze tinterwebs to research shit.

I also try to give them grace, the world they grew up in is gone. I think they taught what they knew, mostly without knowing how out of date it was.

My parents are wonderful & raised me using the best informed ways. But they weren’t prepared for the world I grew up in. No lessons on sex, drugs, money, careers, social cues. They wanted me to choose my path. I did find it & not sure I would change but it took 25 years of pain.
