Decentralised variety is always better in most cases. What is better tasting? A Starbucks coffee, or that very unique and unknown local stuff from a small cafe that is family-owned?

During my time in Northern Italy I did pick up on that. It's a very decentralised country with vast amounts of local variety and unique places to eat/drink etc. Me and the lads I was with had a few pints in a pub and after like 2 - they said “no more” NEVER in the UK

All restaurants use fresh and local ingredients, if a plate has a frozen/non-local ingredient they let you know on the menu. Loved that
