Paul Näcke coined this term, he was a German psychiatrist and criminologist. Sigmund Fraud then adopted the term. A lovely man by all accounts.......... You are basing this on old weirdo German psychiatrists writings. I don't buy it, I used to, not anymore.https://twitter.com/Universal_Intel/status/1403658274398826497 …

Whoever the guy that started it, it's a clinically recognised term. Narcissism is a recognised psychological disorder. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯.

So are many things Sir. Look, I'm laid back and pro freedom of thought bro. If you want to believe in that term then cool but I just can't buy into anymore. I did in the past but now I can admit it was just cope on my part.

Technically speaking, all forms of classifications (like narcissism) are arbitary and based on several hidden assumptions. From this POV labels dosen't make sense. I don't believe in it, either. Rather, a loose term, that I don't take too seriously.

I don't trust the people who made the term popular. Sigmund Fraud for example and his nephew Edward Bernays. The father of modern propaganda and mind control. They don't have our best interests at heart imo.
