More kids have been destroyed by Luke warm and risk averse/jealous people around them IMO. It's like porn. It stops a tiny fraction of creeps committing rape but overall it wrecks good boys/men.
True, but I think it’s also tied to expectations as well. Be risk averse, be a good kid go to college for something fancy and be successful. Kills a lot of kids that would otherwise be good entrepreneurs etc
