Before I always assumed, you had to be ultra ruthless to get anywhere in life, and this true to an extent - however - The real wins come when you embrace legit empathy for others.

Some people have empathy, but they also have guIlt issues. I can only assume this is due too early/childhood trauma of some variety.

It's definitely rooted in the subconscious mind from a young age. When you begin to do well, the natural empathy starts to kick in, but this is when the deep-rooted guilt tends to pop up and throw a spanner in the works.
