It’s a lack of respect either way you look at it. If its really work related then why even bring it up? It’s just a way to get to the dude who is obviously a beta or she is just bored of his goofy ass.

A lot of people look for forgiveness even years down the line because their conscious isn’t clear. So in this case, the affair was 7 years ago. She isn’t telling him because she loves him and is genuinely sorry, she’s looking for forgiveness for herself. It’s selfish and gross.
