I’mprobably wrong. but it I think it was the Egyptians who said when a man and women begin their life together they should bring a cat into their first home.
Do cats sense energy better than dogs? They always seem very alert and ready to react. I believe they are highly cunning and intelligent animals, although nowhere near as loyal as Dogs. The ancient Egyptians thought highly of them.

They sense different things. Honestly on any homestead you need both. They preform different roles and sense different things both equally important in the objective of a self sustaining lifestyle.
