yeah people respect action, even if it’s not pure confidence right away. That shows initiative as long as you’re not having a nervous breakdown shaking like a crackhead it’s the right move
You often hear "trust your instincts" You can have those feelings all day long but they won't mean anything unless you act on them swiftly. I've had countless instincts screaming at me and ignored them. Act on the first instance of the instinct or its pointless.
