I'm guessing this is a reference to America. I completely hear your point. Everyone thought it was impossible till it happened. But, we are in a different Time now. The entire globe is known. Strong Barbarians from uncharted lands arent coming to get America.
When Rome,Greece,Egypt,Babylon and all the other big empires were at their peak. Nobody who ruled those empires or lived under them ever thought they would one day end. They thought it was the be all and end all but they all fell eventually....
