Fear is your mind trying to avoid danger. It's like a filter but most of the times it is way too sensitive and needs to be adjusted.
My take is, you’re walking down a street and see a dude with a blade coming towards you, this is danger, Valid reason for fear. Irrational fear is when you’re just worried about it,while walking down an empty street. U get me?

Basically danger is a potential characteristic of a situation, and fear is our interpretation of the situation?

Danger is actual fear, rational fear, irrational fear is worrying about things ,which are not actually putting you in any danger.
