Interesting point, Nietzsche was against stoicism also. Saying that the obstacle is the way is one of my favourite books this year

Stoicism helped me with peace of mind Unfortunately many people on here interpret it to become a emotionless and liveless robot I prefer experiencing and accepting the highs and lows of life like the waves on a beach It is all a game why not just play little?

Practicing stoicism has helped me let go/ become less emotionally attached to that which is out of my control. I guess it just depends on how you interpret and implement it in your life. The results have been nothing but positive for me.

You kinda become stoic by default anyway when you get older. You go through all kinds of emotional highs/lows and in the end you are still there so it affects you less and less over the years.

Not everything can be traded by way of a single currency. The Stoics understood this through the concept of preferred indifferents - and realising when it was appropriate to aim for and balance differing levels of fulfillment. Even Cato advocated a good piss up from time to time.
