Plus the Gallagher's were always giving the media fodder. No publicity is bad publicity. unless Your egos kill the band, look what they put out now... Not my cup o' tea

Don't get me wrong, their early tunes like Headshrinker was the stuff they were made of. I still put Defiantly Maybe at No1 before What's the Story. they went soft it could have been New Brit Punk not Brit pop!
