Nobody earns respect. You get respect by demanding it. Who respects somebody who tries to earn it? No one. Same goes for men and woman. Disagreeable, dominant people get respect. By nature.

I think respect is multi-faceted. There is self-respect. There is positive respect (given to those whose actions, integrity is of merit), negative respect (those who instill fear) Boundaries are demanded, not earned. IMO, respect can only be ascertained once you’ve been observed

Your either respected or not. No middle ground. Its like attraction. You can't negotiate geninue attraction.
