You either have it or you don't, I know a dude who done karate all his life, black belt, world champion blah blah, one day in a pub, some aggressive lunatic just punched him clean in the mouth, he hit the deck and bottled it. His karate moves were no good, his belt was worthless.

Shit go for that karate guy. But my trick is to always have the hands up ready to defend/block in case things were to escalate. Either that or take element of surprise n punch first End of the day. You can be prepped your whole life. But its those moments when you know the truth

If u can't switch off your empathy, you won't able to inflict pain on somebody. It's easy to smash a bag or hit pads all day. Will you inflict the same damage on a fellow human? You can't coach that shit.
