Right. Majority of communication is nonverbal.
Nobody is ever really that honest with their words. They tell you what they want you to hear. Observe body language more than words. This is the true universal language of the human species. People who smile but not with the eyes are bad news. Avoid.

Being completely honest is hard. I’ve tried but the main issue is empathy and sympathy for others. You just don’t want to hurt people’s feelings. If you keep practing it does get easier.
