The Knights were an order of The Temple of Solomon in Jerusalem in 1119 after the Christians conquered the Muslims. Pilgrims would travel to the Holy Land and encounter attacks by bandits on their travels, leading to bring slaughtered en masse.

The Knights decided to protect them on their journeys. They became a feared and fearless military force who were massively supported by charitable givings of money, land, businesses and exemption from the laws. They grew massively in numbers.
