You can't reason with ideologically possessed people, so don't bother. You aren't going to magically convince them they're wrong, because their views are like religion to them. Their entire view of the world and how they relate to others is rooted in this. They cannot be saved.

You give them too much credit thinking you can sway their mind. You are implying they are strong enough to confront their beliefs, examine the nuances, and go through the pain of realising their errors. They are too weak to do this. Weak people always lean on ideology.

So they will double down and repeat their mantras. They will attack you. They will vilify you. They will try to shame you. You will not be able to reach them with sense. You cannot reach them. "They" are gone. The individual has been subsumed by the ideology - they are puppets.

The weak always look for pre-packaged systems of thought to explain the world to them in a way that fits their prejudices, and exonerates them of fault, blame or wrongdoing in anyway whatsoever. They do not care for nuance - they look for comfort, and they find that in lies.

To examine *WHY* you are a failure requires incredible strength of character. To make many concessions and admissions. To see the ugliness in yourself, rather than displace it entirely to others. You cannot expect humanity's losers to accomplish such a feat of nobility.
