I don't know if you've interacted much with the police, but in my experience they wouldn't passively standby while someone films their colleagues not following protocol. They immediately surround whoever is recording and put their bodies between them and the incident. Stinks.
I heard the dude who was killed and the dumb cop who done it, both worked as bouncers at the same night club. This is some gangland feud, drug dealing shit. Its not a race issue. Of course the media are portraying it that way to get the violent reaction we are seeing.
