Yup. When money is tight I do this- usually pay with cash on trips.
Want to save money? Very quick and easy solution. Start paying with cash. Physical cash. When you hand cash over, it activates pain receptors in your brain. With card payments. You just swip and get it back. This is not by accident either. No pain involved = you spend more.

When you use credit/debits cards you spend on average at least 12 percent more than if its all cash. You lost track of what you spend on card alot quicker. Because you don't feel any pain while you do it.
