John D. Rockefeller - Analysis of his character and infamous life - THREAD/ The first EVER Billionaire in the USA. He was raised dirt poor in a large family in upstate New York. He started his first job at 16 years old - as an assistant bookkeeper/pic.twitter.com/Y3wCBrKX0h

He was METICULOUS in his work. Very rarely made any kind of error and took his role seriously despite it being an entry-level low paid apprenticeship. This put him in good stead for his very bright future.

As he grew older, he created a unique character and a good reputation for being very shrewd and astute. These are traits that are rare. He always spent as little as possible and saved every penny he could.

His mother was a staunch Protestant Baptist Church member, she installed Christian values into young John. These morals are what made him a billionaire eventually.

At one point, his company "Standard oil" Controlled 90 Percent of all oil in the USA. He had amazing inner aggression and energy, which he was able to channel correctly.

As his company was getting bigger with increased oil demand, he naturally had a competition to worry about. At one point he almost bankrupted his whole company trying to outbuild their pipelines with his own.

It went down to like a few miles or something really tight before his rival company ran out of cash and stopped. Earning him and Standard Oil - A total monopoly at one point, which made him richer than ever.

But Rockefeller knew this was dangerous also. He was aware many would not like his total control, so he set up several companies with random names to make people think there was a market to choose from.

But it was all Standard Oil, he got away with this for years, one is his famous quotes is "Competition is a sin" He took that very seriously. Eventually, his firm was broken up into like 30 plus different companies by the US Gov for antitrust laws.

One of them is ExxonMobile. So you can imagine the cash Standard Oil was making back in the days when they had a 90 percent chunk of the market. The guy was an absolute business monster. A total OG of the highest order.

And the funny part is - He was a small, frail-looking, quiet, almost timid man, but VERY persistent & pest like. But he got the job done and then some. Legend. I recommend you look deeper into his life and his motives for being wealthy.
