He was METICULOUS in his work. Very rarely made any kind of error and took his role seriously despite it being an entry-level low paid apprenticeship. This put him in good stead for his very bright future.

It went down to like a few miles or something really tight before his rival company ran out of cash and stopped. Earning him and Standard Oil - A total monopoly at one point, which made him richer than ever.

But Rockefeller knew this was dangerous also. He was aware many would not like his total control, so he set up several companies with random names to make people think there was a market to choose from.

But it was all Standard Oil, he got away with this for years, one is his famous quotes is "Competition is a sin" He took that very seriously. Eventually, his firm was broken up into like 30 plus different companies by the US Gov for antitrust laws.

One of them is ExxonMobile. So you can imagine the cash Standard Oil was making back in the days when they had a 90 percent chunk of the market. The guy was an absolute business monster. A total OG of the highest order.

And the funny part is - He was a small, frail-looking, quiet, almost timid man, but VERY persistent & pest like. But he got the job done and then some. Legend. I recommend you look deeper into his life and his motives for being wealthy.
