you're missing his point. It's not the money itself, its the principal that he had to wait 2 years to spend HIS OWN money and everyones fine with it. But if a woman said she had to wait two years to buy something everyone would deem the relationship toxic. aka double standards.
They can't see it. The brainwashing runs so deep now they just can't understand the simple fact. If the roles were reversed the man would be branded abusive and the Woman would be encouraged to leave him with full moral support from every Woman she knows.
