Want to switch from windows to a lightweight Linux OS for d 1st time. Didn't use Linux ever before. Which 32 bit Linux distros would be d best choice to switch swiftly from windows?
Will @ZorinOS be a great choice? #Linux @linuxfoundation @nixcraft
Any suggestions guys..?
Thanks

Do you have an Old, Old, system? Why 32 bit? 64 bit has been rock solid for many, many years. (I suggest xubuntu in ether case)

Yes Sir, have a old Toshiba laptop having 32 bit architecture. It is currently running on windows 7 but really becomes so slow. It is going tougher for me to continue with windows. It lags everywhere. New to linux, have no idea :(

I suggest updating your hardware if possible. Prices have come way down over the years and quality has gone up (perhaps consider it an early Christmas present?) If you cannot I still suggest xubuntu, however)

...but why buy new hw if existing does the job!? Even if it can be afforded.

Yes, I’m sure you said it as a friendly propsal. But I also understood the thought was that a Linux distro could be possible to do the job here on the hw where Windows now fails. I myself converted a Win10 (64 bit) recently to Linux Mint for similar reason.
