If you would engage patients and even some physicians, you would know that this isn’t what’s really happening. The guidelines have caused irreparable harm, state regs have been implemented w hard limits, based on misapplication of the CDC GL. Intent =/= Reality !

My state of AZ wrote prescribing law based on the guidelines and gave exemption to those patients already above the guidelines. This exemption hasn't helped one bit. I was still reduced to 90 mme last yr. Last week my doctor gave me 3 choices...50 mme, Suboxone or a pain pump!

Technically yes yet states are creating hard set regulations & LAWS that are, &hospitals are as well; medical boards & DEA are essentially weaponizing them into hard limits as well regardless of patient history. The guidelines have been weaponized, period.

And for many patients, opioids are the most effective. I don’t know a single chronic pain patient that didn’t try a truckload of other modalities, medications, therapies, etc before taking LTOT. Let doctor-patient relationships be.

I am going to send copies of all my UA drug screens required by pain contract to CDC, HHS, FDA, etc. Already sent copies of my pain contracts to them. I blacked out (redacted) personal info. Maybe seeing these from more of us will prove we are victims of weaponized CDC gls.

How is “access” improved if doctors are afraid to prescribe & if the DEA continues to cut supply? The stigma which NOW surrounds “opioids” is a barrier- yet to be addressed. As a disabled individual, I have NOT had easier access to my meds b/c of CDC guidelines.

WE GET IT-Issuing Guidelines was initially created to ‘help.’ However, misinformation continues to circulate about opioids. Their benefits in a medical setting, can change & improve life. Patients don’t care abt. YOUR preconceived intentions. We deserve pain control- BASIC RIGHTS
