    The newly formed Lee’s Summit Jazz Orchestra will play at 12:30 at Downtown Days today. Go check them out!

    Come out to to hear your favorite teacher and many other educators (and , , & ) play from 12:30-1:30. It will swing! (except for one rock tune and a couple of straight-8th Latin tunes but you get the idea)

    Day 2: I loved hearing about the opportunities at & Negro Baseball Museums. I learned so much history at the John Wornall House. provides tons for our kids. Extra time even allowed a visit to Kauffman Memorial Gardens too! Fun day! @R7PDGradCourses

    One student said, “our room smells so manly”. Today’s countdown fun was shaving cream day. We wrote our names and words that describe 1st Grade. Bonus: it doubles as a table cleaner. One more day. 🐝

    We tried something new this year...and it may just become tradition. ❤️ Our First Grade Finale was a success! The students did a wonderful job and everyone enjoyed the slideshow too. Memories made! 🐝

    It’s game time! Our kindies loved the games our 1st Grade friends designed for them. I saw one hug happen when told they could keep the game. ❤️ 🐝

    Sidewalk chalk, hula hoops, and fire-in-the-jungle...oh my! Today we celebrated our last Book Buddy day with some outdoor fun. We wish our 6th grade friends good luck in middle school next year! 🐝

    First Graders ❤️ to be the BigKids! Today we interviewed the Kindergarteners so we can use the model to create a game for them. We will design a game, test it out, play the game, and get feedback from the Kindies on Friday. 🐝

    Our counting down continues...10 more days! Today was Bubble Day! We made our own bubble wands out of pipe cleaners. They had a blast! It’s starting to feel like summer. ☀️ 🐝
