The main job of news reporting is to help people distinguish the difference between fact and fiction. Online trolls, and wild speculation, or wishful thinking are not actual news. We have history. We have trusted resources for reference that refer to actual factual information.
We have good reporters out there, but, we also have a problem of spin and disinformation in news. Not a new conversation, but still relevant, and a problem.
