        I respectfully disagree with Rep. Engel. As President Obama said, better no deal than a bad deal. It’s past time to get out of the #JCPOA, which is a bad deal. And not even a duly-ratified treaty, at that.

        If you think Iran is less likely to gain nuclear weapons after the deal is nullified I think you could not be more wrong.

        It’s a huge thing to be on disagreement with given neither of us want an outcome of Iran with nukes. My concern is there is no leverage to stop them if it’s seen as an irrational move by the US to kill treaty. C, R et al will not support sanctions for what Trump caused.

        Arguably the move dramatically strengthens Russia’s desire to play a bigger role there. 2nd Iraq war may also have told every dictator you need nukes or the US will attack without real cause. (But that means there is no hope to avoid proliferation...unless such a treaty worked)
