    Just a reminder (and this is to myself, not just to you): Have other people read your proposals. Even though it is hard, since we tend to do them last minute. Bad proposals frequently can be prevented by having someone who hasn't stared at it for 10,000 hours read through.

    Spent about 10 minutes in GIMP getting a logo for an upcoming conference to look nice on a timeline. Then I looked at the completed image on the slide and realized I had put the wrong conference logo down. I think this means I need coffee and to better organize my travel.

    Dear pip experts, is there a way to tell pip to fail instead of "Defaulting to user installation because normal site-packages is not writeable"? Is the behaviour of defaulting to user new? Context: trying to debug some tests that started failing in last few days.
