These in your face attacks from a small minority are key to establishing an authoritarian government. Make folks afraid; shut down normal government. It worked for the Nazis.https://twitter.com/RonFilipkowski/status/1428863639226920961 …

Yes, and from what I'm reading, it's Mike Flynn who is urging them to do this.

Agreed that sowing chaos and gumming up the works is the goal. Given the national threat of fascism, no government operation is too small to matter on this point. The board should hold meetings remotely so they can mute the crazy.

Agree with you. There are ways to hold these meetings, still allowing for public participation, without fueling the agenda of the crazies and without risking the safety of the Board. We have the technology.

Not just Florida. It's happening all over the country, from NH to CA. This can get serious.

a local news guy here was like "i need to report both sides" and i said you absolutely do not have to equate a loud minority with the majority of parents who support masking, vaccinations, etc.

The news guy's editors are the ones you need to reach. They, representing the institutional voice of the newsroom, tend to be super-cautious and afraid of accusations of unfairness. Which is a valid thing, but runs aground in cases where loud minority is given equal treatment.

What is your take on "riots are the voice of the unheard"? Meaning do you think - historically speaking - this will cause public action or do you think they will continue to act with the neoliberal "trust the plan" mindset?
