It is incredibly important for people to report this type of behavior to staff members so that appropriate action can be taken. Having watched Ephemeral lead the charge on the current situations I'm confident your stories will be heard and properly looked into.
It is far too easy to write questionable behavior, jokes, or rhetoric you see off as part of anime culture or immaturity, but the reality is that treating it with any degree of nuance or turning a blind eye is used by abusers to reinforce their beliefs and justify their actions.
It also signals to victims that having to deal with untoward behavior is to be expected. Please let these stories be a stark reminder that you have a personal mandate to not become desensitized to these realities and to strongly condemn / act in opposition of its perpetuation.
I've been a part of the osu community for nearly 12 years. It's a wonderfully accepting place where many find a home that can't elsewhere. Be someone that makes a conscious effort to keep that degree of acceptance from being weaponized against those that are vulnerable.
