It’s probably only annoying because you’re comparing him to you in your head and are slightly jealous that he’s getting attention. The day you figure out how to let yourself be happy with other’s achievements and not sulk about the lack of your own is when you’ll be happy here.

I really want to help you feel better about yourself within the community, but the biggest thing I usually see holding people back from having fun and enjoying the game is the automatic comparisons they make of themselves to others all the time.

Chill out, get excited about your own progress no matter how small, and keep on doing what you enjoy, not what you feel will attract people’s respect or attention. I believe in you.
