    New Milestone! Since our affiliate’s establishment in 1982, 1700 families have achieved affordable homeownership in partnership with Habitat for Humanity Lee and Hendry. We’re so grateful to share this accomplishment with our homeowners, volunteers, donors, and sponsors.

    Habitat's affordable homeownership program is based on partnership. We partner with local families who need a place to live. Families help build their homes, contribute to closing costs, and attend homeowner education. Then, they purchase their homes with an affordable mortgage.

    Did you know that Habitat families never have to move into their home with an empty pantry? That’s because our friends at the Harry Chapin Food Bank of Southwest Florida, Inc. generously donate a box of food for each of our families for the day they close on their home! 💚
