The world is on red alert. Without effective responses to the impacts of the climate, food, fuel and finance crises, we'll see more suffering, instability and potentially more conflict. The #UNGlobalAccelerator is a crucial component of a coordinated global response.

At this time of conflict, the international community has to return to a commitment to peace & cooperation. If left unattended, the fuel, food & finance crises will ratchet up global insecurity to new and fundamentally dangerous levels. We cannot let that happen. #PeaceDay #UNGA

Geopolitical tensions and conflict in the world are obstructing the international system's capacity to respond to multiple crises. The global system has to come together to meet these challenges and avert the otherwise catastrophic consequences for us all. #PeaceDay #UNGA #SDGs

Gender pay gaps persist globally. On average, women are still paid 20% less than men. Equal pay for work of equal value is the only reasonable way forward. Social protection, better job opportunities and childcare will help close gender gaps more broadly. #EqualPayDay
