I feel as if Google has decided to start taking the verification badge down because they didnt like being similar to 90% of the other websites that utilize those badges and possibly to cut down on those who are verified this way less people get recognized or even make it easier

to steal content due to lack of proof of a channel being the original channel something came from and now they have to prove you arent a robot making YouTube videos due to the new verification and possibly higher sub reqs to become verified
