@chesaboudin says it's not a crime to be a felon in possession of a gun. If there is mandatory sentence many of the killings would not have happen.1 reply 0 retweets 18 likes -
better yet, if there was a license requirement to own and handle a firearm, you know like transport that has plenty of more utility, this probably wouldn't have happen. U.S. will go down in history as the most militaristic nation overall, no one has produce so many killing tools

Yes because for sure a criminal shooting up a freeway in the middle of the day would follow licensing requirements for firearms

probably not, but guess what? with a licence you can identify the guilty party in seconds, instead, you have no control over who owns what gun, its moronic. With a licence, mornic actors wouldnt kill people with real guns, cause they would be able to identify a real gun.

You can’t identify the guilty party if they never bother with the license in the first place which criminals definitely won’t.

Just like criminals don't bother with driver license, they just risk being capture on stupid technicalities. . On regards with this particular case case... with a lost bullet, with a simple registry of ballistic you would know who owns the gun, who to make responsible.

Like lincense plates, but naaah... let people own their katanas and behead those who dishonor the samurai, im sure the banning/registry of katanas didnt have any effect on diminishing those crimes in Japan, you are right... there is no correlation, evidence be damn.

What’s the correlation for dropping crime rates post-90s despite the skyrocketing number of guns?

dont know, dont care, you see, unless is crime committed with firearms, the correlation is useless.

besides you just move your most heinous crimes downstream to Central America, thats where the effect of the second can be seen the best. Honestly Mexico should legalize all drugs, see the # of junkies deaths in the US skyrocket, then they can argue there is no correlation.
