Slavery is when your owner takes 100% of your production. Democrat congresswoman Ocasio-Cortez wants 70% (according to CNN) What is the word for 70% expropriation?

Thank you for sharing You would think his experience with national socialists would have taught him about the realities of state control of the means of production and how that leads to total control.

You'd think the president of Americans for tax reform would understand this. I'm betting he does, and is betting 30% of Americans do not.

as suspected roughly half of Americans dont understand what marginal tax rates are. Far more dems understand than republicans (63% vs 38%). the logical result of the media mindlessly throwing out scary “70% taxes” headlines w/o explaining what it means https://today.yougov.com/topics/politics/articles-reports/2013/01/08/understanding-how-marginal-taxes-work-its-all-part … pic.twitter.com/xfdQVtHgRf

The word for a 70% top tax rate in 2019 is no one is sure. But in the 1950s, a 90% top tax rate equaled one of the best periods in American history when it comes to the growth in wealth per US household. The US could not have built the suburbs without this tax revenue.

You certainly understand it’s not 70% of anyone’s entire income. You know it’s income over $10 million. So you are trying to mislead people.

As you know, from 1936 to 1980 the top marginal rate was 70% and above. E.g. between 1952 and 1963 (which included the Eisenhower presidency) the top marginal rate was above 90%. America had high economic growth and shared prosperity. We created national highways system etc.pic.twitter.com/PTLdue5IYI
