Not sure how telling Dems they need to woo back the WWC will work because those that fled the party for trump liked his exclusive policies more than they liked Left's inclusive message. They don't want policies of diversity.

Democrats didn't lose white working class voters because we failed to communicate. WWC walked away because they heard us say, loud & clear, that we want policies that help all, not just white people. It's the "all" in the message they objected to and fled from.

Only way for Dems to win back WWC is to exclude minorities from our messaging and our party. White people who voted for trump embraced his racism. They can not be won back without promises to them that only they matter. I know these people. They're not coming back.

I grew up in the South and the racism down here seeps into your soul. Took me years to shed the bullshit my community taught me. I had to unlearn that racist shit. I'm an anomaly. Way too many white people don't want to unlearn their racist beliefs. They embrace them wholly.

Racists dehumanize minorities. They don't dislike black people, they other them. When you don't see someone as human you don't care when they're treated inhumanely. Dems don't need people like that in our tent. Don't pander to racists. They will never be good people. By choice.

My advice to Dems is don't cater to the white working class. Stick with our rising tide lifts all boats messaging. If racists don't want to be in a boat with minorities, throw them an anchor.
