Earlier today, eight major Chicago unions passed a joint resolution stating their willingness "to engage in mass non-violent protest—up to and including a #GeneralStrike of all working people, if necessary—to protect and defend our democratic rights."https://bit.ly/323UZgz
This means that, as of the night before the election, local labor councils, union activists, and labor coalitions in Seattle, Chicago Rochester, Troy, Western Massachusetts, Detroit, and Vermont have all signaled support for a potential general strike.https://bit.ly/362rYDc
Obviously we live in hell and everything's a toss-up at this point, but it is encouraging to see labor councils taking the idea seriously (even if they/we could be thinking so much bigger)

Remember how many people were calling for a general strike on 8/26 following when the Bucks went on strike for a game? They had rare national attention for a strike. Such a missed opportunity.
