My first job was as a dishwasher at a "family restaurant" a couple towns over where the verbally abusive head chef spent most of his time trying to grab my (16-year-old) ass and faced no repercussions when I reported him. I learned to never, ever trust the boss.

As a high schooler I officiated junior high and middle school basketball games. I learned that about half of people who are parents should be institutionalized.

When I was around 13 I umpired baseball for the 8-10 year old teams. There are a lot of aggro parents out there who have no qualms about going beast on a kid making 10 bucks a game.

Worked as a cook at Dairy Queen. The owner jacked all the prices up as high as corporate would allow a franchise store to go to, then bought himself a new Corvette.
