@TeamYouTube my channel got taken down by false copyright strikes in an attempt to get my personal information, what can i do to get it back without filing a counter claim?

You don't need to provide your personal data to anyone actually. You only need to prove the content is yours. BTW

in most cases you actually are required to put in your real name and personal information and that will be sent to the claimant, it happened before when someone claimed someone elses stuff in hopes to dox them.

Totally unnecessary, creepy, and it actually sounds like a crime tbh. I hope someone sues the shit out of YouTube for this one day. It probably won’t matter as much since people are already leaving YouTube for other reasons. I would think twice before starting a channel there.
