Then again. I also have a friend who's using summons to run through the game as fast as possible in order to get to the PVP.

@DarkStenberg Hardly. I think this is the first time the online has actually worked on Day 1 for a Souls game. -
Too early on to say whether or not you should play this one offline, but I'm trending towards yes.

I think that's also because we've just learned how Souls' level design works. The messages just really aren't needed.

oh and every nook cranny and corner has "illusory wall ahead" because people are unoriginal.

Been invaded twice, which I just find more frustrating than fun tbh.

I've found that's useful. And like four-five instances of "licking but hole" around every female NPC.

Crystal Wizard thing was okay. Kind of your typical Dark Souls magic boss. Laser beams, illusions, etc.

The other bosses have been awesome. Aggressive, interesting, maybe a bit too easy, but tons of fun.

and then go and hit his giant glowing weak point. Welcome back to 1996.

Oh okay. The trick to beating the tree boss is to stand around doing nothing until he falls over on his own.

Lots of time spent waiting for him to do the right attack so I can dodge it, run in and land a few hits.

Mobs that spawn behind you. Giant attacks that often come from offscreen which require i-frame rolls to dodge.

Giant Tree boss in DS3 is basically everything I hated about Dark Souls bosses given form. Hopefully he's a one off.
