We are now at ~1.2°C above preindustrial in 2020. The recent warming trend is 0.15-0.2°C per decade. Time is clearly running out for a 1.5°C target.

  3. If only words, pledges and setting distant hypothetical targets actually lowered our emissions then we wouldn't still be in this mess. The longer we pretend we can "fix this" without treating the crisis like a crisis, the more invaluable time we'll loose.

Following Germany, the Czech Republic is about to decide on a coal-exit long after 2030. Their coal-commission is packed with lobbyists who put their own profit over our future. Today, we support our friends from in front of the Czech embassy in Berlin!

We appear to be on track for an exceptionally warm November globally. Currently its the warmest November on record by a fair margin (0.05C) in the GFS reanalysis dataset, beating November 2015's record 0.7C anomaly (relative to 1981-2010):

Preliminary November mean temperature anomaly in the Arctic is wyld! Easily counters the La Niña cooling effect and may in fact have made this November the warmest ever. We'll find out soon. Puts 2020 solidly in the pole position for warmest year in our records.

We appreciate the effort, but we in don’t wish to be linked to anything commercial. Nor do we wish to gain from overconsumption. The climate- and ecological crisis will only worsen by encouraging people to buy things they don’t need. 1/2
