(3/4) As an open platform, it’s crucial for us to allow everyone–from creators to journalists to late-night TV hosts–to express their opinions w/in the scope of our policies. Opinions can be deeply offensive, but if they don’t violate our policies, they’ll remain on our site.

(4/4) Even if a video remains on our site, it doesn’t mean we endorse/support that viewpoint. There are other aspects of the channel that we’re still evaluating– we’ll be in touch with any further updates.

Hahaha! I’m sure you held the same view with regards to baking a cake, right?

Not even the same issue. 1. These major platforms represent a major part of our political discourse, and national conversation. That is legally significant. 2. They do not get to be both publishers and platforms, enjoying the benefits of both, and the liability of neither.

Of course it’s the same issue... if one is told to find another platform to be heard, then one can equally be told to find another bakery to make a cake. In both cases the leftists hold opposing views.

We have to accept the reality that big tech has changed the fundamental nature of public discourse in the United States. They would hardly be the first privately owned entities to be subject to constitutional mandates. The first step is publisher/platform clarification.
