No option for 'nothing'? As long as it's once and a while rather than a habit I find a late night / all nighter is best dealt with by mentally taking it a bit easy and going to bed on the usual schedule to get right back in rhythm.

FWIW I did some research on this a while back and I've lost sources now but evidence supports getting up and going to sleep at the same time is key to quality sleep -- EVEN if you already missed the mark and stayed up late it's better to stick to the plan than adjust drastically.

I regularly have this problem. I try to go to bed at the time I usually do and tough it out a bit. Otherwise it spirals for me until a pattern pretty easily

If I don't have a full day, I operare on low energy and Go to bed early the next day to maintain sleep cycle. But if my day is relatively full and sleeping in is an option, I opt for that so I'm energetic during the day, finish all my work and get tired by regular bedtime again
