    Oh no! Who knows what will happen when libs find out that Jeff Bezos is flooding the market with $30 copies of Strategic Party Government! I mean, the only way to keep this book out of the wrong hands is to buy up all the copies!

    Agree 100%. Indeed, this is the strategy of House Republicans 1893-94, who filibustered nonstop until the pro-obstruction Democratic majority relented and agreed to suppress them.

    I've long thought that the secret to quickly destroying minority obstruction in the Senate was for a pro-reform Senator to go sit at his/her desk and object to every UC, without end. They'd have to reform the place, or expel you. It just can't function under the actual rules.

    I was once held up at knife point by two kids in São Paulo who 1) returned my shitty phone, 2) gave me bus fare, 3) apologized for bothering me

    everyone’s always like “omg new yorkers are so rude” but one time a guy held a knife to my throat to rob me while I was unlocking my front door and I asked “can I at least keep my ID” and he was like “OK ya”

    This assumes, of course, that existing resources are allocated to their most productive tasks...so maybe some of the staff currently assigned to threatening poor people with audits should be re-tasked with finishing Donald Trump’s case.
