Good question. Probably not. Though I think the view defended by Dan and

@GreggDCaruso been following your work for a while now, and find your argument quite compelling. My question is this: what are low hanging fruit criminal justice reforms you feel should be enacted? And are there any foreseeable downsides? -
I discuss several in the new book I’m working on. But easy ones include reversing three strikes laws, ending voter disenfranchisement, putting an end to life sentences without the chance of parole, doing away with mandatory minimums. But of course my account goes beyond all that.

I am having a hard time with your reliance on luck. Do you believe we make choices at all? Is your view that all of our decisions are just luck?

Yes, we make choices. They are just the result of factors beyond our control. I acknowledge all the distinctions compatibilist make, I just deny that they are enough for basic desert.

I suspect I default to a belief that resembles yours so thoroughly, I can’t fully grasp what Dennett is saying here. It makes little sense that people should be punished for their actions. Nor should they receive awards for them. The latter is easier to convince others of.
