Wisconsin is 85.6% white, 6.4% black, 2.76% Asian. University of Wisconsin-Madison is 69.9% White, 5.58% Asian, 4.81% Hispanic, 2.91% Two or More Races, 2.25% Black or African American, 0.221% so it isn't shocking that a video of the University of Wisconsin would be mostly white

If NY Times wants more minorities in that particular school's videos they need to convince more minorities to go there.

No it is "shocking" The presence of those minorities should be reflected-especially in a predominantly "White" state. The secondary question for a non-American is, "Why is Misconsin so "white?"

Only 2/3 of UW students are from Wisconsin. Many come from Chicago, the Twin Cities, NY and NJ. So just looking at the demographics of Wisconsin is not going to give you the full picture.

Minorities make up part of the student body. They aren't excluded from attending the university. Where did you come up with this "logic" when I showed the stats of the university as well as the state? Minorities are more than welcome to attend ANY university in the country.

One other thing to factor in is the fact they only allowed 2 minutes of video. So, if they had to cut from just 60 minutes that would only allow 3.3% of the footage. I wouldn't want to be the one making the edits, nobody wants their parts cut.
