A huge benefit of working on an app with comprehensive, fast tests: Tests tell you the *moment* you make a mistake. It’s far easier to fix a bug you created 10 seconds ago than one you created 10 days ago.

Fuzzing, y'all: - minimially invasive, stays out of the way of other QA, security, and engineering efforts⏩ - catches regressions fast and pinpoints what change introduced them🏹 - not a big up-front investment, starts producing ROI immediately 💵 Think about it.

What does it say about me if I find this really funny? RT : LaTeX users typing ``these quotation marks'' anywhere outside of a TeX document either indicates the power of habit or the saddest form of flexing I've ever seen.

A story map, for each chapter is 4 things: 1. Why would I want to read this? 2. What will I learn? 3. What will I be able to do with it? 4. Where are we going next?

Some folks have asked what it was like pitching a non-fiction book. I've only pitched one technical book, so I'm sure there are some specifics to technical book publishers, but here's a thread of collective thoughts. 👇 Thanks to for asking.

This is a great point! RT : We go back to the adage, "Don't set out to learn Python. Try to solve a problem or make a project and use Python to do it." What could you have them make or solve using Python?

If you want to help somebody, the best way is to ask how instead of to assume. Assumptions are a signal of our own needs not that of others. So dare to ask, and then listen. Listen not to respond but listen to understand and learn! You might be surprised!
